About Dana Covell

Rooted in Cajon Valley

As a dedicated parent volunteer committed to the enrichment of youth for more than a decade, I have spent countless hours making sure that the children of our community thrive. I am an Information Technology Business Owner, with a BS/Business Management and a Master of Information Systems (MIS). Because my background is in both business and technology, I plan to use my experience to foster the responsible use of technology in our schools. Policy regarding the use of equipment, software, and data is paramount. The safety of our children, and their data, depends on it. I am the Mother of one middle school and two high school students. We have been heavily involved as a family in community service and have been enrolled in CVUSD schools for more than 9 years. I most enjoy volunteering in the arts. Art of all kinds fosters important engagement, and I strive to see programs readily available to all students. My goal is to help guide fiscally and technologically responsible policies, that encourage a safe and enriched environment for academically thriving students. Staff should be supported with vital resources, and community should feel their investment and children are valued.
